The media for the Filter Professor dust collector filter is Fire Retardant 80/20 cellulose/polyester. 80/20 is a MERV 11 media typically used on blast, wood sanding, powder paint, and welding. It is the most economic and common media available that is effective in the 1-3 micron range. You can upgrade to a MERV 15 media that is typically used for plasma cutting, laser cutting, ferrous metal grinding or anything that generates sub-micron particulate. Nanofiber is effective in the .3 to 1 micron range.
This is not a product manufactured by the dust collector OEM. This filter is designed to replace the OEM filter, but at a cheaper price. We guarantee form and fit and the filters are built to meet or exceed OEM specifications.
